- Let me be clear: I’ve read a few Christina Lauren books and liked them, but I am the minority who didn’t vibe with this
- This is totally my fault for buying into hype and not properly reading the back: but I thought this was a normal childhood friends to lovers. Didn’t see that Macy had a fiancé… and I felt the cheating trope was definitely here from the start
- But I think I really didn’t like the trope cause quite frankly I didn’t like Elliot (I’m sorry, I really am). So clingy in a way that reminds me of guys irl- not the cute possessive way book boyfriends do it.
- None of the characters felt fleshed out enough? Which is funny cause this is so character based. Everyone felt bland and more tension was needed.

- I feel criminal reading so much $£x talk for teenagers. I feel too old to read teens talk like this 🤢
- I like Christina Lauren smut, but I couldn’t read the pages cause I either felt weird or just didn’t wanna see these two together??
- I won’t spoil it but I take massive issues with the ending. Something wasn’t discussed nearly enough.
