Pretty enjoyable all the way through. Loved all the women even though they hardly seemed to mesh, and they spent very little time interacting with each other. While the synopsis of this book makes it seem like it is very music-heavy and focused on the diamonds coming back together, that was a drop of water in the ocean that was this book. This book was mostly focused on how a tragedy can spread trough a community and it effects on everyone. I say that, thinking that everything that could've went wrong in the first half of this book just about did. 
My biggest issue was the fact that God was mentioned in what felt like every paragraph. I wasn't prepared for how heavily religion was portrayed in this book. It seemed unnecessary to me, to repeated say, God out you on the path He wants you on, or, Have faith in Gods Will. Say it once or twice to emphasize but not every time the crisis was brought up.
