Necronomicon is a wonderful novel for those who appreciate the concept of a pure and suspenseful horror story. This, being the first of many Lovecraft novels I have read, has always been my favorite. This book is a great introduction to not only the writings of Lovecraft, but the mythos around it. If you dare to flirt with danger, and enjoy being chilled by the macabre you will throughly enjoy this book. Do be warned, when you read one Lovecraft story you will always be tempted to read another.
Predictable, but quintessential Dan Brown. Robert Langdon is yet again dragged across the world on a marvelous adventure, accompanied by a handsome female companion, with the fate of humanity in the balance. Say what you will about the man's writing, but it was thrilling and non the less. At some points, it verged on being philosophical. I always will have a special place in my heart for Dan Brown novels. You don't read a Dan Brown novel to be enlightened after all, rather entertained and amused.
I have read this book a few times, mainly because I cant stop reading it. Every time I pick it up, I feel as though I am going through the war my self. It physically effects you. One does not read this book for pleasure, they read it for the feeling of dread that claws at your very soul.
A childhood book I loved and always will. Gail Carson Levine will be one of my favorite authors and will inspire anyone who reads this to find thir inner princess
If you did not enjoy at least the story of Dracula, we have nothing to talk about any longer.
I can not sum up the glory and beauty of Martin's epics in a simple review. I would be giving it a disservice. Read them, it is the only advise or warning I can possibly give.
This novel is wonderful, thought provoking, thrilling, and vividly descriptive. It is a must read for those who enjoy thought provoking human material, and distopia.
George Orwell's distopian novel, 1984, beautifully displays what would happen if we allow what we fear most to control our life. It is thrilling and physiologically stimulating. The language is plain, but does not need to be fancy. The ending will leave leave you hungry for more, fearful, and highly intrigued.
