The Little Paris Bookshop

Nina George

DID NOT FINISH

I just couldn't get into this book. I thought I was going to lile it based on the synopsis on the back, but it was just so boring and the characters felt lifeless and I just didn't care.

Call Me By Your Name

André Aciman

DID NOT FINISH

Read for all of 15 minutes before quitting. Not only does Elio not sound like a 17-year-old, but the fact that he's crushing on an older man just skeeves me out. I so badly wanted to enjoy this since I've only heard good things, but I can't.

We'll Always Have Summer

Jenny Han

DID NOT FINISH

I tried. I tried so hard. I enjoyed the first two books in the series, I love To All the Boys, but i just cannot handle this book. The unnecessary drama, the teenage angst. I'm just glad I borrowed this from the library and didn't buy it.

The Grace Year

Kim Liggett

DID NOT FINISH

I didn't even finish this book. I was excited by the premise and liked the beginning, but as soon as the girls left the town and started their journey into the wilderness, I just wanted to smack Kiersten. The fact that the girls so easily believed the fact that her magic is controlling others got on my nerves quickly, especially when they made it to the camp and Tierney was trying to help them survive and they still wanted to listen to Kiersten instead. As soon as Kiersten kicked Tierney out I was done. It had been slowly building up to "I think this is going to be my third DNF of the year", but that solidified it for me.
