I don't think I'll ever be able to read this book without crying at the end. The series definitely takes a darker turn in this book, but things really go bad during the third task, and I cannot read it without crying.

I read this with a group of fellow book lovers over on Instagram and I'd forgotten just how good this book is. The relationships between characters, the magic, the double and triple crosses. It's beautiful.

I love the little hints of the world's history that come between some of the chapters and at the beginning of all of them. It adds something special that hints at the big reveal at the end. I had my suspicions about halfway through, and I'm glad I was correct!

Still my favorite of the Harry Potter books. Remus is the best DADA teacher Hogwarts has ever seen and I wish he could have worked there longer!
