This was so good that I couldn't put it down and read it pretty much all in one go on my couch! I loved getting to see Maverick's story and how he comes to be the dad that Starr knows and loves in T.H.U.G., and Concrete Rose did not disappoint. Mav's story is so heartbreaking, but it really does go to show that you can rise up above the circumstances you were born into and make a name for yourself, no matter what.

I managed to read half of this in one day because it was so damn good. So many things happened that I was hoping to see (and one pairing was mentioned briefly and even though I doubt it'll happen, maybe we'll see it in one of the other 2 books?) and it was just so good.
