I will admit that I read an ARC of The Kiss Curse before reading The Ex Hex, but I feel like it did a good job of explaining the important events of The Ex Hex, so I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. I absolutely loved seeing Gwyn and Wells's relationship slowly unfold as they got to know each other better.

Reading Ali Hazelwood's sophomore novel almost makes me want to adjust my rating of her debut novel because I thought I loved the Love Hypothesis, but Love on the Brain was a thousand times better! I'm a sucker for a good slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance, and when it's based on Pride and Prejudice? Sign me up!

After all the discourse surrounding Lightlark on TikTok, I was pleasantly surprised! I read half of it in one day because I couldn't put it down, and the last quarter went just as quickly because it felt like every other chapter changed the information that Isla knew. I thought I knew what was going to happen, and I'm so glad I was wrong and the book kept me guessing!
