The book was short and ended on a kind of weird note. The art style inside wasn't on-parr with other comics I've read, despite the better-drawn cover.
3.5 STARS
Ya know what? I went into this book and wasn't expecting much. It was a pretty average start and it took me a while to get into the plot. The perspective was third person omnipotent, which is okay if it serves a purpose.
And to my shock, I actually enjoyed it. Yeah, the writing is average, but the plot was intriguing and I enjoyed it. The magic system was a little weird (they derive their magic from potions they drink) but it was different, which was cool.
All in all, a decent book that was a fun and intriguing read!

The potential is certianly there and I really enjoyed this, but it's so brief that there's little establishment of characters, world building, and magic systems. I'll read the next book.

Well! I'm not sleeping tonight! The book is so beautifully drawn and utterly horrifying. Each tale is vague enough to give you a sense of fear but you know EXACTLY what's going on.

Done! All in all a pretty good read. Not an action-packed read about smacking some dead bois, but rather an overview of events and their consequences. It's in-depth and feels a little bit like a textbook.
TBH, it was the audiobook that got me through this. A multicast, including Mark Hamill and Nathan Filion? You bet your bottom dollar im jumping on that.

Compared to the others, kinda eh
So like, I get it, dark and edgy Lord. But the magic is a lot more out-of-nowhere and kind of nonsense compared to the others. Again, I believe it's the fault of these books being so short- trying to fit so much magic and attempting to build an intense attraction between characters in like, 90 pages, is difficult, and the story and build up should have taken course over a longer period of time.
