I'm not usually a YA reader but this was so good. I really loved the inclusivity, it felt natural and the ghoul gang was so fun. The descriptions were well written and I felt like I was with them. I appreciated that this was both cozy spooky but also had some gore and gross situations, so the horror aspect felt well balanced. Perfect for the spooky season!

The pumpkin patch gave this the perfect autumn vibe, it was soooo cozy. The story itself was fun and sweet, made me well all warm and fuzzy and giddy. I want to be friends with these characters and I want to work at the pumpkin patch. Also, the illustrations were gorgeous!!

Winnie is absolutely precious, Granny Smythe's apple orchard feels so cozy, and there's something about a pumpkin patch that gets me super giddy about autumn. Winnie's sleuthing was so fun and entertaining, she did a great job at solving the crime. I didn't realize this was part of a series but I was able read it as a standalone without issue so I love that.

This fell incredibly flat for me. I was so excited to read a spooky cozy mystery, especially one with a ghost and some hauntings but the story was bland. It was dry. It was boring. All the characters felt one dimensional and the plot felt wooden and predictable. I just didn't get the vibe I hoped for.

Jemma was likeable and I enjoyed her connection with Edgar. I appreciated that their relationship deepened as the plot does. I also thought this was unique in terms of fantasy worlds. I haven't read a book with a memory land before. I thought the adventures that Jemma went on were interesting and fun and I loved exploring the world with her. Overall, quite a refreshing take on a YA novel.

This gives off Practical Magic vibes and I'm here for it. The characters are the best. The plot is captivating. The humor? I was cackling. The romance? Uh... Where? Rhys and Vivienne by themselves are great but there is no chemistry. I feel like the story had so much potential but I was left wanting more.

The synopsis sounded so good but I had to get past 60% for anything to happen. Up until then it was just Nadine bitching about the man she had an affair with (the infidelity btw serves no purpose to the plot, Nadine and Lionel just fucking suck) and complaining about nothing. Nadine has to be one of the worst characters I've had the misfortune of being introduced to. She has a lovely family and she just shits on them. The only entertaining bit was the plot twist and the action Nadine took because of it.

This was incredible. It was magical, heartwarming, emotional, adventurous, and captivating. I loved the message about family and friendship and Tilly's mission to find out about her mom. I loved the idea of wandering, being able to visit your favorite book characters and their worlds. I also enjoyed how Anna James wrote Alice and Anne's characters, I thought they were portrayed exactly how they would be of they were brought out of their stories. This is just a story that I absolutely ate up.

Somehow, a divorce attorney that moonlights as a wedding officiant is just perfect. RJ was such a badass boss woman and I loved her character. I also loved how as the book went on, the facade of "I'm a strong badass 24/7" started to crumble and we got to see some vulnerability. Lear was also pretty decent, but I think he could've been better. I don't think RJ and Lear are right for each other but I definitely love their vibe.
