4 stars 🌟
A romcom about two journalists who go undercover to get the story on a government employee that is using his position to take advantage of young female employees.
What I Liked:
Macfarlane probably taught me more new words than any other author in one book. I appreciate the variety in her language.
The miscommunication in this book did not feel trope-y but felt authentic. You could see from some of their assumptions and stumblings that it is a very real way for people to react. It was not a situation that required the reader to suspend their belief to follow the book. I loved the banter and the characters.
What I Didn’t Like:
Nothing I can remember. I thoroughly enjoyed and will be reading everything I can get my hands on by this author.

I can’t say what this book reminded me of or else I’ll give away one of the big twists.
A story about Blake and Christa and the circumstances that lead to them financially needing a tenant to help with bills and the crazy things this tenant does for the oddest reasons!
Twisty, fast-paced, thriller.
Freida, my queen of one-day-reads, I can’t put your books down!

This book is #5 in the Eddie Flynn series. In this title, Flynn is an attorney representing a young girl accused by her sister of murdering her father. Flynn’s client has flipped the script and blamed her sister for the crime.
This is a twisty read that will keep you changing your mind about which sister you actually believe. If you enjoy a fast-paced read that you don’t want to put down, this book is for you!
What I Liked:
The main character, Eddie, is a smart and witty lawyer. Seeing as this is my first read in this series, I’m definitely not stopping here. I’m gonna get my hands on any Eddie Flynn book that comes out. I enjoyed that our boy Eddie is on the right side of history — not bowing down to the white supremacist that makes an appearance — and being an ally to a fellow lawyer, Kate, as she represents the other sister.

A thriller about a tradwife instagram influencer whose life isn’t exactly what she portrays.
What I Liked:
This thriller was fantastically crafted. I read a lot of thrillers and did not see the last twist coming! If I’m surprised, I am pretty impressed with a book. Readers will enjoy the multiple narratives and the twists. I feel that many people love to hate the tradwife movement and you’re given plenty of reasons to roll your eyes, feel superior, and question the women in this role.
What I Didn’t Like:
There were a few passages that cited distance using meters and it threw me off when the book is set in Montana in the United States.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this audiobook arc!
This was an adorable rom/com including a video producer and a Coast Guard rescue swimmer… and a rescue Great Dane.
What I Liked:
Katherine Center writes fantastic banter! Their love, while kind of quick, feels authentic. I mean, it never claimed to be a slow burn. The audiobook narrator, Patti Murin, was amazing! I listened to the whole book in one day. I enjoyed the depth that was added to the characters by acknowledging their past traumas and how it affected their current situations.
What I Didn’t Like:
Even though the characters had depth, I feel like they resolved their conflicts pretty quickly. I am not sure that deeply held beliefs about body image and familial relationships would change in less than a month.
But, maybe that’s the beauty of a rom/com.
Overall, would definitely recommend and will continue to read more from this author.
