HEAR ME OUT.
I have not come across an LJ Shen book YET that has let me down. She is an auto-buy author for me and I know going into one of her books, it's going to be everything I need it to be!

This book was no exception! My absolutely FAVORITE book so far by her is Truly Madly Deeply - but lately, the others have been living up to my expectations!

Was it toxic-y at times? YES
Did I LOVE every second of it? Yes!

I loved some of the characters and wanted to throat punch some others. I feel like that is some good writing! I rooted for people - and I cried. It gave me all the feels and you best beleive I am diving into the next!

I was lucky enough to get this as an ARC read and I am so glad that I did.

I LOVE me a good sports romance. I really am a sucker for this trope. I devour them all. Baseball, Hockey, Football - it honestly doesn’t matter. Idk what it is about the sports ones, but they get me every single time!

This one starts out on a curve! Deon got himself into trouble by publicly stating that he had a girlfriend - when our good MMC has not a single one of those! Insert Natalie right here and we have a good ol’ Hallmark (or Lifetime) type movie going on in this book! The two of them are hilarious and I absolutely loved their chemistry. It was very much giving. The laughter was amuck!

Throw in some forced proximity, and suddenly this fake dating turns into friends with benefits - to benefits galore - to much more than either of them thought! They honestly reminded me a bit of my husband and I because we are POLAR opposites, but we work for whatever reason lol.

The secondary characters in this novel are ON POINT. Because we all know I love some secondary characters. The spice was spicing and the pages were turning in this one! I would def recommend it to anyone who loves a good sports romance with spice and forced proximity. If you do decide to check this out, let me know!
