It din't quite rock me to my core as much as the first one, but I can't wait to see where the characters go next. And I really loved the edition of the wings. They really turn Rin into a literal Phoenix, when she was already a metaphorical one.

I really loved the majority of the short stories, although I didn't like a couple of the. The highs are as good as the original trilogy.

This is a fun book, an enjoyable read, especially for those who love the superhero genre. The characters are fun, and I love the concept, and how no character is unbiased. They all have their complex motivations and reasonings behind every belief and action and are the main reason I come back to this series. The world is interesting as well. Although, the plot is predictable. If you like YA, then this is the book for you. But if not, you will not enjoy it whatsoever.

It was a solid YA book, but it's just really not my style. If you anly read YA, I think you would enjoy the book a lot more than I did.
