Such an easy 5 star! What a fucking raw and relatable book written by an absolute legend of a woman!

Started very slow and took me a while to get into but once I did, I was invested! Some characters I adored and others I absolutely hated. The author constantly gave little breadcrumbs of hints and had me and my buddy read theorising all over the place! Definitely feel this could have been a much shorter book but, I’ll definitely be reading the sequel!!

Eurgh, this is a hard one to review. I found the pace incredibly slow and nothing really happened at all. I found myself skimming pages and each chapter kinda felt like the previous chapter.

BUT, I absolutely loved the two main characters, Poppy and Alex. Emily Henry does wit so well, she’s bloody hilarious.

I love all of her other books so this won’t put me off.

Summary - The story was mehh, the characters were amazing!

I found this to be a slow read and I’d say 80% of the book is taken up with setting the story and 20% with some action, I would have preferred that to be the other way round.

Having said that, I enjoy Schwab’s writing and I absolutely adore the characters and their relationships with each other.

All in all not as good as the first book but I will definitely be reading the last book at some point.
