For some reason I thought this book was going to be a whole different story than what it was. Not necessarily a bad thing. I do wish it had been a bit more magical than it was. It did drag for me quite a bit but the ending was lovely 

I don’t really know what to say about this. I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it. The writing is good but I didn’t find myself wanting to keep picking it up. 

One thing is for certain though, I will be watching Jodie Comer in the adaptation and think it will be one of those rare times where it’s better than the book! 

Meh…it was nice enough. Not the best writing but some nice sentiments 

This was a slow burn for me, I actually almost DNF’d this around 20-30% but I’m so glad I didn’t. I fell in love with these women and their very raw and relatable experiences, thoughts and musings. I particularly enjoyed the Ayahuasca section! 

Some beautiful, powerful and emotional writing in this, lots of highlighting of passages. 

It’s not without its trigger warnings but I think these are important discussions.

I do not often cry at books, never have done. But this…..this was something else. I was sad, angry, hopeful, devastated….just everything. This is one that will stay with me for a very long time.
