There’s something about stories revolving around nuclear war and the fallout. I had to stop 100 pages in just because of how much dread I felt. The aftermath was good and seeing how everyone was fairing off post bombing. Also the ending to know who won and saying that it didn’t matter either was oof.

What doesn’t give it a full 5 stars is just that there are some moments where you just don’t think it pulls through with some aspects within the story. I definitely LOVED THE ENDING and it made me emotional when she wanted to break the cycle. Waaaa  It’s still a good read for sure

I’m happy Maurice got to find love but it makes me upset in the middle where he wanted to be straight because he didn’t want to be alone and I don’t know I’m thinking about that a lot. But Maurice gets the happy ending and I love him for that <33

The gasps I let out multiple times especially the ending on god

Eric feeding the kid was gross and the only thing “entertaining” to me imo

It’s enjoyable but then drags out in some parts. Reading this reminds me of a post I once saw years ago saying something about how Suzanne Collins knows when to stop and not continue on with the story. (I think Stephanie Meyer released midnight sun or planned to release it) and I thought it was true that queen knew. And well now here I am and thinking that damn she should’ve stuck with the trilogy. THOUGH the last book was great but this one… idk it just reminds me of that post

*explodes*

Interesting but not so

Lost me for a minute but still good
