This book was good. It reminds me of the film Lourdes but also mixed with hp lovecraft Esq stories. 

Huh? It got me and then it lost me. 

It’s a good book and I did like some parts I just wasn’t to invested to put it at a 3 or above. That being said there was a lot of beautiful writing in here and can really paint a picture. The abuse, physical, sexual, and everything was :( 

The way this man was becoming beastly and grotesque, just how he saw someone earlier… Him becoming super obsessed and wanting to change himself and thought it was safe to finally do so when he did. How in his death he thought he was beckoning him to come. Happy he died tho lol

I absolutely love this book. I can’t even put it into words. Though since I am religious this book may have made me feel so insane when I felt bad for Lucifer in the beginning 😭

… when it’s taken me 2 years to finish this book. It’s okay and it took me til 100+ pages in to really start getting into it and then towards the end it started to get boring again. It wasn’t bad but just eh. Incest took me surprised me but also I should’ve figured way before (

There were some good stories in there that made me rate it what I did. But a lot of them are… they’re something alright.

There’s genuinely so much to say. So I’ve been told that a lot of people dnf bc of a certain part. And I took that as a challenge and decided to read this. I did get to that part and it was super disgusting but I continued. Sometimes when I read books I can just take in the information and not picture anything and I think that’s why this book did disturbed me in one part towards the end. Throughout the book there is pictures drawn of the children’s death one of them got to me. Because of the pictures I can actually imagine everything and be pulled in more. So this was a first. It’s was okay??????? I talked to a friend about this book and they said “so like squid game” so there’s that.
