I think this book was overhyped and I went into it with high expectations only to be very disappointed.  This was pretty boring and the end was shocking (not in a suspenseful twist way, it was just dumb).

It felt like they cut a 400 page book in half and added the last 5 pages last minute but didn't change anything else

This wasn't as strong as the last book but I still loved it. The grey morality was strong in this one

A brilliant second edition to the series. This book is so ridiculous in the best way - I'm glad the cringey achievements slowed down a little as the series went on

We start to see more depth to the characters here. I finished this way quicker than I expected.

Try to explain this book series to a friend without sounding like there's something wrong with you though

I'll admit this took me ages to read but I love this series so much

While there is a lot of "telling not showing", it's a well written fantasy series with a lot of world and character building. The multiple story lines worked well for me here and kept me interested

I definitely understand why some other reviews say it was a hard read, the accent took a bit of getting used to but the consistency of it meant it felt natural to read by the end of the book

Honestly hoped I would love this more. I definitely enjoyed it and the descriptions of the Ro falling for Ash were really lovely

I found the ending to be a bit rushed and would have liked it to go a bit differently. I did finish it in a day and found myself dreaming of my own cottage core romance (minus the secrets and murder)

I finished this in one sitting. Fast paced and leaves you on edge. I had to put my book down at the end and sit with it for a moment like "wtf did I just read"

While there isn't a whole lot of depth to each character and the plot was mostly predictable, there were some moments that just rattled my brain.

I hated every character in this book. In saying that, I'm a big supporter of women's rights but more importantly I support women's wrongs. Love this for her

Also why wasn't it more gay? It was building, then it didn't happen :(

I do not care about your sex life, Roy

Remove the racism, misogyny and unnecessary commentary on who the main character slept with from this and we'd have an alright book

Unfortunately, this was the second worst book I read this year. Premise was excellent, execution was awful.
