Cool concept, but every time they apologized back and forth to each other... well it killed me a little inside... But not a bad book overall ~ Liked the take on perspectives too (:

What can I say about this book...
So basically this guy, Colt, was with this girl, Julia, who had a boyfriend, for a year. They would meet secretly and have sex and talk and whatever. Julia dies in a car accident and suddenly, Colt's life is just -whoosh- gone.
Okay, I'm saying that all quite sarcastically. It's not that the book was bad but I felt absolutely NO CONNECTION with the characters... Colt CLAIMS he's upset, but there's no gut wrenching grief really displayed. I understand that he's trying to keep up this facade for the people at school and those around him, but when it's a book taken in first person perspective, you'd expect the character to come out more through the words. Not a bad book (because something had to have kept me reading), quick read (only 192 pages !), and I finished it in like 2.5 hours. It didn't make me totally rage quit on it, but I can't give it rave reviews either...

Not a bad story line, and it made me laugh a few times. One thing that bugged me though was that she had elf ears on the cover, but there was never a mention of them in the book. And when she did get her hair all braided and pretty by some 'erdler', her ears were never mentioned. Plus, her secret was never outed even when the got the guy, not like the book needed anymore drama, but I mean at least tell the boy your secret o.o...
Other than those points, not a bad book (:
