Everyone should read this book. It is beautifully written and is an examination of the criminal justice system, race, how art and expression can save us. I love this book so much.

Outlawed

DID NOT FINISH

Started promising, but too slow and not enough character development.

What Could Be Saved

DID NOT FINISH

This book has been hyped and marketed as “enthralling” but for me, it was lackluster. I was initially intrigued by the story, but I could not connect with the characters and I felt there was a lot of subplot that drew away from the “mystery.”

This book was so good, almost perfect! It was a bit of a rocky start for me, but the second half gave me all the feels.

Chloe Liese’s romance books are binge-worthy, compulsive, steamy, but also real. Chloe writes Romance novels that are inclusive, feature people with diverse abilities, and realistic “issues.” Ever After Always features a marriage in crisis, and the dynamics between Freya and Aiden are all too real. I related so closely with Aiden’s anxiety, history of trauma, and the communication struggles between he and Freya. I have been looking forward to my Bergman Brothers Binge Day! A day to immerse myself in broad characters and steamy romance and the lovable Bergman family.

I did not know anything about the drug wars in the Philippines or President Duterte, so I am appreciative of learning something new. I also don’t think I have ever read a book that takes place in the Philippines, and I would like to read more.
