So how this was what I needed to hear right now

4.5 stars (still doubting if it's not one of my favourites)
I recommend it to everyone who loves YA contemporary romances, especially Morgan Matson fans.

I requested this book on NetGalley (and I so glad I did).

This book was just so nicely paced story with realistic, likeable characters.
It is just another version of the YA contemporary romance formula but I found it so well written.
The dual narration is also handled very well.
SpoilerYou get the answers to Mitchell's questions about Josie in Josie's chapter and vice versa.

Furthermore, I could really relate the problems which Josie and Mitchell are facing. Especially with Josie's, being the older sister myself.
SpoilerEven the cliché miscommunication moment, which is present in almost every romance story, was relatable since both Josie and Mitchell had realistic doubts about their own futures.

This was a very nice read. I was expecting a road trip contemporary but I got more than that.
My expectations are probably the reason why I did not give this book four stars.
However, Amy's growth felt very natural and realistic. The same thing counts for Amy & Roger's relationship, not only on the romantic front but also the friendship.
With the road trip aspect, I also learned a lot about the different states in the US. Which I think was nice because I don't know a lot about the states separately.
So overall I do recommend it just do not expect a lot of romance like I did.

Wow. This final book in the Burn for Burn trilogy by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian had me sitting on the edge of my seat. This book had a thriller feeling for me.

Moreover, this whole trilogy really reminds me of The Perfectionists Duology by Sara Shepard. So if you enjoyed those books, definitely pick up these. Otherwise, if you like revenge stories, I also recommend it to you.

The characters, Kat, Lillia and Mary are very distinctive and very likeable. Furthermore, the character arcs over the three books are amazing. All three grow so much.

Furthermore, the romance is also very nicely done. Only it is not that present in the first book. At first, disappointed me a bit because I had expected it since Jenny Han is one of the co-authors.

I really liked the idea of this world or these realms. But I think that the execution is poor. I couldn't get into the romance between Ten and Killian. I still have a lot of questions about how spirits work because that wasn't explained at all. They basically work like humans body plus a few cool tricks.

So I am a bit disappointed. But I liked the narrators and the general world building. I just would have liked to see more details.
