This was such a nice read, especially with the incredibly weird but nice temperatures right now. Oh, Climate Change. But with the temperature hitting the 18 degrees I was in the mood for a nice, summery romance novel and this is certainly such a book.
When I say a book about female aviators in World War II, you say Elizabeth Wein.
When I first picked up this book, I thought it would be fiction, however, I was caught off guard when I realized that this book is a biography about several amazing Russian women who served as fighter pilots in WWII. I won't be able to name them all but I am happy to know that they existed, killed Nazis, and paved the way for more gender equality.

A very nice biography about Michelle's life from beginning, to meeting Barack Obama to now. I liked the aspects of her time at university since I could relate to that the most since I myself am attending university now. I loved to read about how she and Obama met, the stories about her children but also the political aspects.
The audiobook was very good and narrated by Michelle Obama herself which was very enjoyable :)

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
When I requested this book on NetGalley, I thought it would be a retelling of the 1997 movie Anastasia which I absolutely love. This book is, however, a retelling of the history of the Romanovs with some magic thrown in. And I really liked it for the first half.
However, after that, I just could not get into the romance anymore
