Reread 2018: Original review is still how I feel about this book.
I love this book so much. It is a piece of artwork and I can't recommend it to you more! so many feels

This book turned out to be different than I had expected, but in a good way. This book is way more about Allyson discovering herself and being more independent as a person than it is about a love story. Just like in On the Edge of Gone, I loved the Dutch aspects like hagelslag etc.
I enjoyed this book but I had hoped for a lot more. I love the first book and had hoped that the third book would be on that level again. it was not but it was still enjoyable.
3,5
I definitely enjoyed this book more than the first one. I've a feeling that this book was just building up for something bigger in the future books.
Though the 'big reveal' at the end was pretty obvious in my opinion.
I really want to Celaena to be happy. It was sad to see most of that ripped away. Maybe she'll get a fresh start in Wendlyn? I'll see because I'm planning to continue with the series.

I loved how Libba Bray combined humor and serious parts without making one or the other look paler in comparison. She balanced it very well.
4,5 stars (maybe even 5? not sure yet)
First of all, this was not anything like the movie. So I was not expected the enemies-with-benefits part (which I really liked!) I haven't read or seen anything like it and it was fun.
I loved that Bianca has the same body type as me. I don't think I've ever come across it.
I flew through this book and kind of regret not picking it up sooner because I thought I would be a lot like the movie.
I loved that Bianca and Wesley were more than a Duff and a man-whore. I liked that they both had issues with their family. I really recommend this book :)

I love it! Sofia and Gideon are wonderful characters. Amie and Meagan did a great job on this series. I loved how almost everything from the previous books and the short story comes back. It was so good to see Lilac and Tarver, and Jubilee and Flynn again. Together with Sofia and Gideon I'm really going to miss them.
The first part of the story was lovely and cute and heart warming. But the second part of the story was full with suspense and doubt and hope.
Another series finished but the writers have promised more short stories and I saw that they are going to have a new series (in 2017 Aaagh) and I'm looking forward to it.
EDIT: lots of it reminded me of the Lunar Chronicles and I hope that there some things will be made more clear.

i flew through this book. Jubilee and Flynn stole my heart and gave me a lot of feels. can't wait for Their Fractured Light in December!
I didn't really know what to expect when a started this book. Of course, I had heard the hype and so I was curious if I would like it as well.
And I did.
But there were also a few things I wished were different. I really found the love triangle distracting and quite unnecessary. I really like romantic subplots but this love triangle, well, I did not like it as much and it was too distracting from the main plot. The relationship between Dorian and Celaena felt a bit forced and though Chaol and Celaena had a lot of nice scenes I would have preferred this book without romance and with two good friendships, In the end, it was sort of solved and I wonder how it will continue. I hope I'll get my two friendships in the end though I expect that Celaena will end up with one of them.
The world Throne of Glass is set in, I found it fascinating and I'm curious to see more of it.
The main plot was clear, the goal Celaena wanted was clear and despite of the love triangle I still really enjoyed the book. Though, I did not find myself as engaged with the characters as I do with most. But the book, in my opinion, still deserves three and a half out of five stars.
Oh, I wanted to add that I did really LOVE Celaena's friendship with Nehemia. Two girls who are friends and don't talk only of boys. Very little about boys. I want to see more of those.

Maybe 2.5? I don't know.
I liked some parts, didn't like others as much. I might pick up the sequel because I find the bargain Feyre made with Rhysand interesting. But it won't be at the top of my TBR-list.
I liked the world this story is set in. All the different kinds of faeries, how they looked etc.
But I find the characters lacking. I liked that Feyre and Lucien became friends and that they didn't fall in love. Tamlin is okay. But in the last chapters, there was foreshadowing for a love triangle between Feyre, Tamlin and Rhysand. Now, I could be wrong and it could be a love triangle I might like (for example how Tahereh Mafi did it in the Shatter Me trilogy) but I'm pretty done with love triangles.
I'll see if I'll continue this series or with any other books of Sarah J. Maas.
