When Michael Dante DiMartino -- co-creator of Avatar the Last Airbender -- announced that he was writing a book series, I was overjoyed.

This book follows Giacomo in a fantasy world based on Italy. When Giacomo finds out he has a bird-like creature named a Genius, he gets thrown in an adventure.

The story took a while to take off for me personally. However, once the quest for the Creator's Compass started I had a hard time putting the book down! I cannot wait to see what the next book will hold (and I'm praying the release date of the third book will be announced soon but DiMartino is probably busy writing the ATLA Netflix series and producing it)

It's a nice study book. Every chapter starts with an overview/summary which I love in my study books. However, as for my course in the third year in uni, it felt very repetitive. But since I am starting my Bachelor thesis in a few weeks, I think it is nice to have had a recap about how to write a good paper.
