I requested this e-galley on NetGalley.

The graphic novel What Does Consent Really Mean? asks some very important questions and starts a discussion which is really important to have. Sometimes it felt a bit on the nose a la: We are going to teach about consent. Then again, it is the point of the graphic novel. Not only does it asks some really good questions, the story involves a cast of diverse characters on both ethnic and LGBT grounds. Furthermore, it includes characters who are single and characters who are in a relationship.
The story is just teens discussing consent and everything that involves consent: sex, nudes, porn, what is a no and what is a yes. Moreover, the narrative involves both the point of view of girls and boys which made me happy. For a second, I was scared that the graphic novel might gloss over the boys' narrative.

So I really recommend this book, especially if you are not sure what consent is.

Ik vond dit boek gewoon niet leuk. Ik houd van voorschaduwing maar hier was het nauwelijks aanwezig. Verder heeft dit boek voor zijn 95 pagina's drie verhaallijnen wat een beetje te veel van het goede is. Meh.

Some of the poems were not my cup of tea. However, some I really liked: A Dream Within A Dream, To My Mother, Annebel Lee & The Bells. My goal when reading poetry collections is to find some poems I really like and with this collection that goal is completed.

How to Be Perfectly Unhappy is a short graphic novel which challenges the thought that being happy is the ultimate goal in life. It goes over the vagueness of the term "happy" and whether a person can only be happy or unhappy.
Although it is under fifty pages, this graphic novel made me think about what being happy and unhappy means and I am impressed by that. To illustrate this I will give you a quote:

I'm not unhappy.
I'm just busy.
I'm interested.

And that's ok.

If you want to open your mind to a new definition of being happy, then you should definitely pick this little book up.

This was very helpful for getting back into the Norse mythology now that the last book of Magnus is out.

3.5 stars

Okay, this is really funny.
