This is was so good! I really enjoyed the writing, the characters and how the world functioned with the Scythes. The stakes felt high. The world felt real. And I cannot wait to start Thunderhead

I really enjoyed how Vanja narrated her story. She told it in a funny way that I love. It kinda reminds me of Percy Jackson in some regard, now that I think about it.
The first book ends pretty solidly so I wonder what the sequel will be about.

Heel informatief. David van Reybrouck bespreekt Congo door de eeuwen heen. Het land heeft een complexe geschiedenis en het audioboek was een mooie manier om daar een beetje van te leren.

The introduction was really interesting! Theatre of War Productions sounds like a great initiative! Although the introduction does spoil the plays so if you don't want that, read it afterwards.
I really enjoyed the plays, especially Oedipus the King (Oedipus Rex). The translations by Bryan Doerries are very readable. I had no trouble with the wording or phrasing. These new translations hopefully make the play more accessible to the new generations.

I loved the multiversal travel in The Space Between Worlds. I love how Micaiah Johnson describes how both scientists and religious people viewed the new technology. Over the course of the book, the reader discovers more and more and that had me intrigued. I loved the sapphic element, though I wished it was present more (though the book makes clear why). The characters were very well rounded and felt like real people to me.
If you're looking for a good science fiction with a multiverse element, I would really recommend The Space Between Worlds to you.

I like Amanda Lovelace's poetry. I find it soothing to read and listen to. It encourages me to heal and self love.

Juno Dawson wrote a great book on Being Transgender/Gender nonconforming for young adults. As a cis woman, I learnt a lot even though the book is really written by and for trans people. I hope more people will read it since Dawson gives a great basis of information as well as resources for those questioning their gender, transitioning or those who want to help them!

A great piece of feminist literature. Kim Jiyoung Born 1982 makes me even more interested in reading non-Western feminist writing. The first chapter had me intrigued. The ones that followed were relatable.
