Thank you to Netgalley and Rebel Girls for providing me with an ARC of this Black Girl Magic edition. Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Real-Life Tales of Black Girl Magic is filled with amazing Black women from across the globe who will most likely inspire many children. The artwork is phenomenal as well. I really recommend this new Good Night Stories book for anyone who's looking for one.

You're Welcome, Universe is a great story about friendship. The book follows Julia who loves graffiti or street art but it is, of course, not very legal. After making a well-meant artwork on school property, Julia is kicked out of her all Deaf school. Adapting to her new school and making new friends is a struggle so art becomes her (secret) outlet. But soon she learns that she might not be the only vandal in town... Because of the focus on art, the book includes beautiful illustrations!

Besides the graffiti war, I loved how there was a big focus on a friendship break-up and making new friends. Julia is a bit of a different main character because she is moody and angry but that is what I enjoyed about her character. She has her ups and downs just like anyone in her position would.

I really recommend You're Welcome, Universe if you are looking for a fun book about a girl who loves art and her friendships new and old.

Update June 2021: Not me rereading Heartstopper again, for the third time this year...

Update: Yes, I am rereading them already. I regret nothing.

Excuse me, I did not except Heartstopper: Volume One by Alice Oseman to hit me in the feels like that and make me tear up. So yeah now I am very emotionally invested in Nick and Charlie and will probably be obsessed with Heartstopper just like everyone else in the online book community.

I read Heartstopper on tapas.io as a webcomic, really recommend :)

I am hooked, obsessed and emotionally involved. I really understand why Heartstopper is so well-loved and I really recommend it!

I going to try to pace myself a little since I finished both Volume One and Two today and I will probably be sad when I run out of content.

Reread June 2021: Whatever-You-Want-Athon was the excuse I needed to reread all of these

Reread in June 2021 hihi
Reread in May 2021: I am pretty sure Heartstopper is my comfort read. Really really recommend this story!

January 2021:
I love this so much. They are going on a class trip to Paris and it reminded me of my class trip to Rome and just the fun I had with my friends. And I adore Nick and Charlie.

SpoilerCharlie's eating disorder though :(

I read chapter 5 back in January during my first Heartstopper binge but now Volume Four is finally out and I reread the chapter. No regrets.

I love Heartstopper. It's one of my favourite stories and I am looking forward to reread it a lot in the future!

Reread in June 2021 :)

lighthearted fast-paced
Loveable characters: Yes

The Tea Dragon Society is another adorable graphic novel with gorgeous artwork.

Greta is being trained by her mother to become a blacksmith when she finds a Tea Dragon in need. Upon returning the Tea Dragon to their owner, Greta is invited to learn about Tea Dragons and the customs behind it. Overall, I enjoyed this simple story with beautiful art. I liked the underlying message of not letting craft arts disappear.

I finished it 🥺
