I really enjoyed A Curse So Dark and Lonely. I would even say it is my favourite Beauty and the Beast retelling I have read so far. The book has dual narration by Harper and Rhen. Harper is a girl from Washinton DC, who happens to have cerebral palsy (CP). Rhen is the crown prince of Emberfall. Harper gets accidentally kidnapped to the world of Emberfall and that is where the story takes off.

I found this book so enjoyable especially because Harper is from our world which even let to some funny moments in the book
SpoilerFor example, teaching guards to fistbump, the "Kingdom of Disi" I just love that stuff

I recommend this book to everyone who likes fairy tale retellings, slow-burning romances, great male-female friendships, and mystical worlds.

I love everything about it. It made me think about taking risks with college. I guess that's something I'll need to do too

Wintergirls was such a hard read, yet I flew through the book. Laurie Halse Anderson has a beautiful writing style which helped me fly through this book. However, the topic of eating disorders made it hard to read for me sometimes.

Wintergirls follows Lia after her best friends Cassie has passed away. Lia has anorexia and the story follows her struggle through grief, family issues and everything her eating disorder throws in her way.

I did not like it as much as the first one. But I still really enjoyed reading this book. Ronan's story is interesting especially the dream part. I don't like Adam as much as I did but I am curious what will happen to him in the next book.

I didn't expect this story to be so dark but I really liked it. It is something different from my normal reads. There points in which I just did not know which side Adelina would choose and that had a great effect on the tension. I still don't know what way this whole trilogy is headed and I am excited to find out.

I also really like the politics of this fantasy world! I am interested what Adelina's role is going to be.

I loved the voice actors of the audio book. I found the voices very nice to listen to which is a must for me with audio books.

I would recommend this book to people who enjoyed the Shatter Me series although The Young Elites is not as thick on romance. Moreover, if you are interested in fantasy world politics this might also be an interesting read for you.

4,5 stars. I really enjoyed it! It was a great read.

I really enjoyed it, especially after the Will Grayson meeting. Cute little book.
