My first Agatha Christie and I really enjoyed it! It was a great whodunnit.

Although some descriptions of people of colour and Jews did feel very outdated and uncomfortable. Can we blame it on the time it was published?

Santa book club book! This book really surprisd me. I thought, and the author even describes it as a silly book but it has a lot of depth! It criticized capitalism/consumerism through the perspective of Christmas wanting to become a monopoly and hoarding a the generated joy in the world. Amazing!

It took me awhile to get into the book because the main character Coal has quite the imposter syndrome and when I started reading the book, so did I. So it hit a little bit too close to home.

Schattig kerstverhaal.

Ik vond het alleen wel jammer dat ze zich schaamde voor een mogelijke zichtbare tampon in haar eigen huis. En ook dat ze zich vergeleek met een mogelijke vriendin van "twee meter lang en een doorsnede van tien centimeter". Like ik wil mijn feelgoodverhalen zeker dit soort dingen.

Wauw. Wat is dit weer een sterk boek/pamflet van De Correspondent.

My mind is blown. Vooral toen Schimmelpenninck benoemde dat nieuwe technologieën ook voor een opkomst door fascisten en autocraten zorgt.

Geweldig voorgelezen door Sander Schimmelpenninck zelf. Ik kon het erg waarderen dat je een keer zijn lach kon horen (toen hij het over Trump had waar een kaart met orkaan Dorian overduidelijk met stift was bewerkt.)

A lovely romance with some great spicy scenes. I loved seeing the representation of a main character with an amputation and another main character with anxiety 

Erg fijne tips!

The Essential... Taylor Swift is a complete, cohesive biography with great photos of Taylor Swift. It starts at the beginning of Swift's career with some background information on her family as well. It goes all the way to the Era's Tour and also includes the Tortured Poets Department. I enjoyed reading this book and I think it's great for new Swifties. For Swifties who have been around longer, I don't think it will add much. But it can be a great introduction for parents and friends of Swifties.

Aangeraden door een vriendin toen ik het over mijn eigen groeipijn had. Ik vind het een fijn woord, die me de ruimte geeft om een gevoel dat ik ervaar te beschrijven. Nu heb ik geen ambities om bij defensie te gaan, maar ik vond Ray's verhaal toch erg mooi.

I enjoyed this so much more than book 1!
