Might pick it up again sometime. More of a book that I would keep on my shelf and browse through every so often.
I'm so sorry, I was just so bored haha. Not me thinking I would try to branch out and read something out of my norm and then being disappointed haha. This book just wasn't for me. The prologue was interesting in the fact that there was a sex scene right off the bat, but then any sexual tension that would have built up in the book was already gone for me - I mean they already got together, they did it, what's left now? I found the writing a bit bland, and I had no interest in the storyline. So, I decided to save myself the trouble and stop. Such a bummer, because the cover is so cute!
Loving it, but now that October is over the Halloween vibes are fading. May try to finish the audiobook and pick up the physical copy again next October!
Okay. So. Started watching the Hulu series before reading the book, because hey why not watch it and skip reading the book. Started out great, right? Thought hey I might like this book. Started reading. Continued watching the Hulu series and very quickly realized 'Wow, I am really frustrated with these main characters and the toxic relationship/lack of communication going on here.'
But. I think I'm going to try reading it again. Except this time I'm not going into it expecting a love story, because wow that set me up for major disappointment and frustration. Because I think maybe Rooney is a brilliant writer and maybe it's a story worth reading.

What is this, my second or third time trying to read this? Maybe it just isn't for me.
Graphic: Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Religious bigotry
Got to about Chapter 29, maybe three fourths of the way in. The beginnings of this book were exciting to me to learn about but eventually the audiobook version began to become a droning on of facts that nearly put me to sleep. Very interesting things all throughout but I just couldn’t bring myself to push through the last 1-2 hours just to say I finished the book.
