Now I got what all the fuss about Derek Craven was about (The Rake who falls in love despite his efforts and loves without realising it) and loved Sara Fielding, writer with no fears. 
Old style at times, but definitely compelling

So, this was a bit of a drag, at least compared to the others. Not that it didn't take me 3 days to finish it, but I wasn't as freakishly compelled as the others.
I liked Avi and Felix, but I missed some banter, maybe. They were super swoonworthy though.

That said, I can't wait for Archer's story to be out, so much so that I preordered it! (Must be a first tbh).
And I'm so looking forward to reading about Aiden and Thomas, jeeeez the building up is killing me

Asa and Zane were another favorite couple. Since he kidnapped him to hunt him down the mansion, I was hooked. This whole series will give me such a hangover I'll have to read it all over again
You have suicide/planned suicide/psychological torture, the usual hard stuff.
And the whole Mulvaney family.

MM, fated mates à la Twilight (smell, kind of an imprinting), August is a professor of physics by day, vigilante by night, filthy rich bc adopted by a millionaire, big time trauma during childhood, psychopathic, no empathy, no regrets, autistic genius.
Lucas is a former fbi agent, clairvoyant, psychometric, who's threatened by a serial killer, suffers PTSD

This book was so much fun, I inhaled it, steamy, suspense, serial killers, gore. So. Fun.

4 generations of fucked-up ppl surviving, longing, trying to escape the island or coming back.

 Mental health rep, migration, colonialism, tourism as in Jamaica Kinkaid messing. Love this book

Some really intense short stories. 
On being far from home, on being back home, on racism, fat-phobia, patriarchy, queer relations, mother and daughter. All through a very specific nostalgic lens.
