Franz Kafka was literally so pissed with all the bullshit we all deal with at work that lead to this book which perfectly encapsulates it. Everyone standing in everyone's way, thinking they know what's going on, all seeing something differently. It all seems like the end of the world, but it's all just bullshit in the end with no satisfactory conclusion in sight.
Infuriating to read, took a while for me to get to Kafka but I think he will be a favorite of mine. Glad he straight discovered his true calling in literature, despite having been so depleted by society to reach that point.

Finished on the eve of The Dead*, as appropriate as ever a time to do so.

Incredible, relevant, and conceptually unique. Nothing will probably surpass the masterpiece of 2666, but no comparisons would be fair in the first place.
Imaginative for sure, interesting origin of the story itself, but lacking everywhere else.
