This was absolutely fascinating. Narration was excellent.
This was a bit of a struggle. I didn't connect with the characters and it was all a bit too depressing.

What a ride. I just want them to be happy, is that too much to ask
I'm not going to rate this due to the nature of the book, however this is powerful as hell.

3.75*
- Very unique world
- Loved Lila Bard and her interactions with Kell
- Not sure on limits of elemental power but still very cool
- Holland was such a sad character
- Didn't really understand the 'infected' people and their part in the story
- Rhy and Kell's relationship was so sweet
- White London rulers a bit one dimensional
- Bit too many named side characters that was unnecessary
- Antari magic was awesome and so interesting

4.5* Its been a long time since I've read a book this quickly! Very, very entertaining. Even though I kinda knew before hand that there was nothing paranormal going on it was very spooky at times. Also, I really REALLY hate snakes now.
Me in my head whenever snakes appeared. ^^

I thought this was going somewhere. It wasn't. It did have some creepy bits but was so disjointed and didn't tie up ANYTHING. Very frustrating.
