A pretty good thriller/mystery but I did not like the ending. Why would that situation not be finished? Why would we just be left to wonder what happened?

Overall this was an enjoyable read and it kept me invested until the end. I liked both the main characters and loved the setting!
If I was to be picky I would have to add that I didn’t like the constant body image negativity, the fast moving relationship between Joel and Nicole ( especially since she was very leery of strangers, the fling Nicole had with the other celebrity after already making Richard chose between his wife or his gf, how easy it was for Nicole to be in the public at the end of the story (there lacked a few steps of addressing this). It also really bothered me that no one thought about how they could just make the paparazzi leave the boat house property. It is private property after all. 🙄
As well I found the book wordy especially amongst the dialogue. I found myself scanning paragraphs or jumping a few at a time.
If you are looking for an easy summer read then this would work for you! I will continue to read Sarah Morgan books because the overall stories are enjoyable.
Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin for the opportunity to read this arc.

I was drawn to this book because it’s about a book club and the timing. I love reading books about women in the 50s and 60s and their desire to be more than a mom and a housewife. To be their own person and the how they persevered to achieve that. This story gave me that and I was pulled into it from the start. I love all the main characters for different reasons. And now that I’m finished the book, I’m going to miss being part of their world.
Well done!
Narration was fabulous! I definitely recommend listening to the story.
Thanks very much NetGalley and HarperCollins.

I liked this story better than the first. It was less eye rolling but it still had its moments. I loved how Noah told Hazel how he felt. That was perfect!
The latter part of the book became more spice than story and was not really fitting anymore. The cute story was lost. I found I fast forwarded through a lot of it by that point.
I was glad that the s’mores part of the story only was once because the way the narrator pronounced the word (se-mores) was quite annoying. It’s smores!

An enjoyable read perfect for a sunny beach day or on your back porch.
The characters are likeable, the story was easy to read and the “views” were described perfectly.
I was disappointed with the lack of romance though. There was so much time spent about Ivy’s struggles and hardly anything about the growing relationship between Nora and Blaze. This seemed more like an Ivy story than about Nora/Blaze.
Also, for me, there was too much religious referencing.
