This is a book that is outside of the genres that I usually read but the synopsis was intriguing. I am glad that I took the chance and read it. Iain Reid is quite the story teller! After finishing the book, I had to sit with it for a bit. I had to think about what I read. I found that I questioned everything that the author had written. That is a good thing. And of course the twist at the end was awesome. Unforgettable!
Thanks to Simon & Schuster and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. I am sorry that it took me so long to do so!

I had a hard time reading this book. The premise of the book sounds wonderful. How would you feel coming home to find that a new family has moved in. And then, needing answers, not being able to find your estranged husband. It could be a great plot... but I found this story did not fulfill that plot.
The story really started to drag, it could have been shorter. I never connected with the characters or the way the story was told. I just wanted to get to the end to find out how it finished. Unfortunately, there was no surprise to ending. It was what I had expected. Overall, the book was okay.

I was given the opportunity to read and review this book by the author, Elizabeth Allison. It’s not the character age I usually read but I did enjoy the story.
Emily is a newly separated single mom who is finding her way in the new life direction that she didn’t expect to be taking. She approaches each new complication with the assistance of three great friends who encourage her to look at the positives instead of focusing on the negatives and a bit of humour along the way. The ending is a classic “happily ever after” and ties everything up nicely. The only negative I couldn’t get passed is the amount of money it seems Emily spends but claims to not have a lot of it.
This is an easy, nicely-paced read that is perfect for a relaxing day. If you’re looking for a book like that then this is one I recommend you get!

I loved this sweet, romantic story with the classic "happily ever after" ending as any romance story should be. If you are looking for a clean, flirty, but at times, steamy (yes it can be both!) read then this one is for you. This is well-written and easy to read. I loved all of the characters and their small town! I was caught from the beginning and would have read it all in one sitting if I had the time!
I look forward to reading more from this author and am pleased that Poppy St James entrusted me to provide a review in exchange for getting to read this wonderful story! Well done!

I received this book from the publisher, Celadon Books, through their Little Free Library program. Of course I had to read it first before I added it to my LFL. I was very pleased to read it because it was on my TBR list and it was awesome. I was not disappointed! It's hard to believe this is a debut novel for the author and I sure am looking forward to see what Tracey Lange writes next!
This is a story about family, about sticking together through the hard times as well as the good. To forgive and to love. The book is told through the voices of each family member. It is easy to follow along and moving from person to person is not confusing. I love how each chapter started with the same spoken sentence as the previous ended with.
I was pleased that the author didn't feel the need to squeeze in final information or write an epilogue to clear up any details that were not completely finalized. The ending was perfect. It leaves the reader assuming that there was a "happily ever after" for everyone or maybe not.
Congrats to the Tracey Lange on a first book that is going to be a bestseller!
Thanks so much to Celadon Books for the opportunity to read and review and then share it with my library visitors!

For the first part of the book I had a hard time continuing. I didn’t like any of the four main characters… there was trait about each of them that I couldn’t ignore. Something made me read on though and at a point I couldn’t stop! The last 25% of the book had me in tears frequently!
Such a great story of starting over and coming together and finding where you truly belong.
I wouldn’t have missed it if the viewpoint of Frances, after he died, had been left out. That was a bit over the top and took away from the reality of the story.

I had this book on my want list since it came out and finally was able to get it from my local library. I do love Susan Mallery books and this one was good but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed some of her other books.
I loved the relationship between sisters Dena and Reggie. And of course the happy ending! I do wish there had been more of the relationships between the two couples once they had become a real relationship. There was just a little too much of the lead up, I think.
Overall, a pleasant read though. I’m looking forward to reading the next.
