I found this book way longer than it needed to be. Nothing happened over many many pages. The plot twist was not surprising.

I found the plot moved quick and didn’t have any stale spots. The events and storyline were believable. The only problem I had was the romance between Rusty and Cameron. It didn’t have any sparks. There was some spice but it wasn’t exciting. It moved into a marriage situation in an unbelievable way. It just seemed unrealistically easy.

The book was dragging. Nothing was happening. I could not connect with any of the characters.

This is my second Laura Dave book. The first was "the Last Thing He Told Me" but I liked this one way better than that. This was a combination of a mystery with a love story and family drama. It was a well written, with a slow burn drama/mystery, growing to a great ending. Lots of well done character development and attention to the details so I could feel like I was in the story too.

I'm looking forward to reading the next one!
