I have never read a book that screams privilege quiet like this one. I didn't even look at the name of the author or anything i picked this up as a recommendation what an awful thing. I really forced myself to finish waiting for it to get good.
I was curious but yeah... Hollywood is dark an awful place. I feel very sorry for a lot of the women in the book that didn't even seem to realize how awful what happened to them was. Some of the stories were genuinely interesting but so much of it is straight up awful.
I haye Peetas and Katniss relationship for the first half of the book. So bad it takes from the enjoyment of the rest of the book. Is it just me that finds annoying how everyone acts if Katniss is not good enough for Peeta??? When Peeta is constantly making her feel like sh*t even if it's by accident by telling her how much he loves her and has nothing but her??? It's not till they're back in the capitol about to die that their relationship isn't that bad, she even says that it's the first time his love professing doesn't make her feel "guilty and awful"
I really love the book tho. Just their relationship this book is unbearable for the most part. I also find it weird that Peeta has no friends or anyone that even gets a name in the book. Not even his dad is shown? When he was presented as a good father (and friendly to Katniss and her family) in the first book. It was a weird way to force it to seems as if he really has nothing but Katniss and I didn't like it.
