I just don’t vibe with this author’s writing style. It’s very long winded to me. I feel the 12% of this book that I read could’ve been done in 5%. I DNF’d Blood Like Magic for the same reason.

Sooooo much info dumping😭 It was too much info at once, I can’t remember all them people and I was bored because nothing was happening except explanations of things I don’t care about.

I don’t think flash fiction is for me. I’ve read several stories & have only enjoyed one. They stories are too short to make an impact for my personal reading taste.

I can tell that I’m not the audience for this novel…

All that arguing is getting on my nerves. As usual with enemies to lovers romances. Idk why I keep trying that trope when I obviously hate it. You’ll never catch me picking up a contemporary enemies to lovers romance again unless it’s by an author that I already love.

Spinnin' the Block

Aubreé Pynn

The male love interest is just trash. If I was the woman main character, I would never forgive him and I’d take all his money and spit on his grave when he dies. I cannot see myself ever rooting for them to get together, so there’s no point in me continuing this romance.

This was my first Aubree Pynn novel, but I’ll definitely try her other work. This male love interest is just not it.

I just really didn’t have any feelings about the characters or what was going on

I went into this book expecting it to be lighthearted & cute, but instead it’s pretty sad and triggering for me. One main character is recovering from sexual assault and the other main character is a caregiver to his mother with multiple sclerosis, and subsequently his little brother as well.

There were cute moments, but overall it triggered me a lot and put me in a bad place mentally, so I couldn’t continue.

One of the main characters in this was incredibly judgmental & mean, and I wasn’t interested in the other main character either, so I couldn’t get into the book.

There just wasn’t a wow factor. It was kinda boring and the characters weren’t particularly interesting.
