What a fun and unique read! I highly recommend this book especially if you love murder mysteries!

“The 7 ½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle” by Stuart Turton tells the story of Aiden Bishop who needs to solve who murdered Evelyn Hardcastle the only problem is he keeps waking up in someone else’s body! He will keep relieving the day in another “host” until he solves the murder, but he only has 8 hosts to do it in. Luckily he remembers the knowledge he gains in each host when he wakes up in the next host. Plus he has the help of a mysterious girl named Anna and a plague doctor pushing him in the right direction.

I picked this book for my monthly book club, and I’m really glad that I did. This was such a fun read and totally unique to anything I’ve read in the past. Stuart Turton does a great job of developing each character and although Aiden is in different hosts throughout the book I didn’t find it confusing. I actually found it very easy to follow. Once I really got into it, I didn’t want to put it down so I not only read the hardcover, but listened on Audible as well during my commute to and from work.

One thing I love in a mystery is not being able to figure it out, and this one kept me guessing the entire time. I did not know who-dun-it until they revealed who it was. That’s what makes a great murder mystery.

If you’re looking for something entertaining to read with some twists and turns than this is the book for you!
