I absolutely loved this book! A trip to San Francisco explores some of the liquids that we come in contact with daily. Miodownik perfectly balances science with humour for a hugely enjoyable read. The style of writing is easy to follow and incorporates diagrams and images to aid understanding. If you're interested in the science of day to day life, this is definitely a must read!

A wonderfully devastating adventure

I will always love these books and the story of Celaena. Love, adventure and tough times make for a thrilling read. Light hearted in comparison to my standard nerdy science books.

My eyes have been opened to the wonders of the sun and light. So much makes sense now.

An absolutely amazing, thought invoking book. I personally found it a little too intense for my liking and it required a high level of scientific knowledge to follow some of the core principles.

What an amazing book. From the big to the practically invisible, this book covers them all. The style is very approachable and easy to read while cramming in all of the facts physically possible. I feel enlightened to all the weird and wonderful insects there are in the world and how important they are to our survival. Things that cannot be achieved by humans have already been achieved and perfected by the creatures we think of as pests. My perspective of insects is totally changed.

A delightful little book, filling in some odd the gaps from the original Harry Potter series. "The Tale of The Three Brothers" will always be my favourite.
