One of my favorite things about this book is that the author decided to end it in two books! I had no idea going in that it was the last and I was prepared for a cliffhanger until the next book. I mean it's so hard to find a young adult book these days that is not a series of 3 or more. It definitely was a nice surprise!! I got through this book quickly because I was really immersed in this story. I just couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. As most books there was a love triangle BUT throughout the book you just know who she is going to be with. She always knows that it's James. So really you don't have to be paranoid that she's going to choose the wrong guy or the one you don't want her with. It's pretty clear from the very beginning who she wants to be with.
I liked how fast paced this book was and the other characters that were introduced, especially Dallas. I was really glad that she made the choice for Dallas to find her own happiness. I was getting worried that she would go back to Realm. She deserved so much more and in reality, there's no way she should completely dismiss the fact that he is the reason she was in the Program at all.

I was a little surprise at how quickly she tied everything up, it was a little too fast. It's the reason I gave only 4 stars. It felt like many things were just glossed over and everything was all good. Sometimes I have a problem with that because I don't know if the author was tired or just out of ideas. Sometimes the mess needs a little more time to develop into a happy ending than a handful of pages. Overall though, it was a pretty good book!

There is a lot of mixed reviews about this book. I had it come through one day and quickly glanced at what it was about. I became intrigued and decided to give it a shot. I mean who doesn't like Cameron Diaz? She has such a bubbly personality and it definitely came through the book. I know there are some people saying she has a "ghost writer." I mean duh, don't they all?
Anyways, there were a lot of interesting things in this book and a lot of things I definitely learned. Some books about health can be so factual and make it really boring and hard to read. I think what Cameron does is put a little of her own examples that make you really get what they are trying to say. I'm sure there are a few things that I'll definitely try to apply to my routine and daily life. I caught myself saying to my husband, "oh, this is cool.. listen..".
On the other hand, there are things in here that I will not be applying to my daily life. I'm sorry but eating healthy gets very expensive and time consuming. Some of the meals she was promoting would be hard, costly, and not something I could just find at my local Kroger. In the morning when I have to work, I do not have time to make a gourmet breakfast. There are also some times where she does sound a bit like a cheerleader and it can be a little off putting.

Overall, I liked this book and enjoyed learning some cool new stuff about my body that I didn't know before. I liked how her personality came through. This was definitely interesting and a pretty quick read.

I loved how fast paced this book was! It was an interesting take on Alien life forms and their interactions with humans. It's pretty crazy to think how strongly people react to things they don't understand. I think the author does a great job in showing the truth of how horrid and disgusting people can be towards others. It was pretty sad to see how she was actually shunned by her community because of superficial reasons. They didn't know anything about Aelyx and totally thought of him as a threat.
I loved to see how he was just a blank slate and by the end of the book he was so much more human. He has emotions and understands so much more about the human race. One of my favorite things about this book is the fact that it was a growing love. It wasn't a, instant look and they fall in love, type of love. They didn't really like each other in the beginning and just tolerated each other. By the end of the book they fall in love but you get to see it grow. You get to see why they do and it's not based solely on how attracted they are to each other. It was really refreshing to see from a teen book. A bit more realistic.
Overall, I really thought this was an interesting read and I can't wait to read the second book. I'm really fascinated by what the whole world of L'eihr will be like. Even though, it was a bit predictable, I still really enjoyed it. Also, I had a total geek moment when I realized the author [a:Melissa Landers|5804715|Melissa Landers|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1333392569p2/5804715.jpg] lives like 15 MINUTES from me!! She lives in the heart of Cincinnati- Loveland! I couldn't believe it, so awesome!!!

4.5 stars. I loved this book! The writing was amazing and the story itself was hauntingly beautiful. This isn't really a love story but a story about family and the hardships of love. The story starts off with Ava narrating but not just her story. It goes through backstory of the generations before her. It was actually pretty important to get the backstory to make the book more impactful. I was really surprised at how dark and intense this book is. There's a lot of things about this book that I would not allow my teen read, if I had one. There are a few things that were pretty descriptive and I was shocked it was in a teen book.

Overall though, I really couldn't put it down. It was so interesting and strange at the same time. I'll definitely be reading more by this author!

I won this book from a Goodreads First-Reads Giveaway. Receiving this book for free has in no way influenced my opinion.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this since it's my first Elisabeth Grace book and I haven't read any of the others in the series. For a romance, it was pretty good. I liked how the characters actually took their time to get to know each other and their relationship wasn't rushed. I'm not really into books that really focus on the physical relationship and skip some of the real stuff. I got through this book rather quickly because you knew that at some point her horrible ex was going to do something terrible. I was waiting for him to get his due because of his physical abuse towards Skye, even if it was just once and she wasn't hurt too badly. Overall, I enjoyed this book and it was a fun quick read.

4.5 starz. I couldn't put this book down!!! It was so interesting and I was so immersed in the story. It's definitely different than anything I've read lately. I really enjoyed the two main characters and how they developed. The way they try to out play each other is so intriguing. I really can't wait for the next book!!!

I won this from a First Reads Goodreads giveaway. I really liked this book. I got through it rather quickly. It was a cute take on Romeo and Juliet but there are a lot of differences. Sometimes when an author takes on a classic and put it into their writing, it becomes too cheesy. I didn't think it was like that with this book. It was cute and charming. Most of the time I didn't think about it being inspired by R&J. So I didn't really find myself comparing the two stories. I was just immersed in the actual story by Teri Wilson.

I really liked the characters and their development. I loved how Juliet went from not having a voice in her family to finally finding it. In doing so she stuck up for herself and was able to do what made her happy. I wasn't quite sure how they were going to tie things up in the end and be together. I loved how Leo was totally unbiased about the family "fued" and could see it from the other point of view. He knew what he wanted and he wouldn't let anyone tell him what to do. That's something that needed to be rubbed off onto Juliet.

I really loved Alegra. She added some funny moments to situations. She had a lot of laugh out loud moments. I would definitely read a book about her.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this and would read more from this author. It was a nice love story.

This book starts off really strong. I was intrigued enough to not want to put it down. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay that way. The middle of this book was really hard to get through. It was a decent enough story but it was just so slow. I was waiting for something to actually happen in the plot. It was just too descriptive of things that didn't really need to be added to this story.
Throughout this book, Nathan, can't catch a break. I mean he's treated pretty horribly and you are just pulling for him. He goes through some really traumatic situations. Although, he's a witch, I was surprised about the lack of "witch" magic. I mean he is supposed to be feared and this really powerful witch but he has no self defense. There is really no use of magic throughout this whole book. There are few instances when other characters have 'gifts' but he really doesn't have any that can help him. I was expecting there to be more of a magical element to this story. I don't know if she is saving it for the next book or what.

When I FINALLY got to the end of this book.. I was like WHAT!?! I went through all that for this? Those pages of limited plot and character development for this! It was very anti-climatic and it was all wrapped up in a few pages. I was very disappointed. I'm not sure how likely I will be reading the next book in this series. I heard so much about this book and I was bummed that I didn't like it as much as others did.

I feel like maybe I was reading a different book than everyone else. There seems to be a lot of hype and good reviews about this book. I don't get it. It wasn't a bad read, I gave it 3 stars, but it didn't move me to tears, like some people.
The writing in this book was a little hard to take. To go from complete sentences and then
drop off
out of nowhere for no
reason at all
was just annoying.

Get my point? Anyways, this book is basically about a handful of rich kids and their lives at the summer house. They are called the "Liars" which include her cousins Mirren, Johnny, and the love interest Gat. They talk about all this trouble that they get into, but I never see it. They really don't do much of anything but hang out at the beach and at each others homes. That's pretty much it. I felt like all the main characters were boring and I wanted to smack most of them. Then something happens in summer fifteen that Candace can't recall. She suffers a lot of medical problems from the block she has about whatever happens. So this book is her trying to piece together the events of that summer to figure out what happened.

I thought most of this book, Candace was a privileged girl who had the world at her feet, to just complain about it. It's not like she was really that great of a person. She didn't really care about anyone but herself. She didn't care about the help or how the world works. Her love interest Gat, was not from a privileged home and he was the one always pointing these things out. The parents didn't really care for him, especially the grandfather, because of his views on things.

I did like the little stories that Candace would write every once in a while to piece together the past. They were a bit strange and therefore kept me interested. I will say the ending is pretty predictable. I kept reading just to see how she would figure it out, even though, I already had.

It wasn't a horrible book but I've definitely read better.
