I loved this book!! I have been waiting to read this book for so long! This book is such a complicated read but kate was able to create a world that was so rich and so hard to predict the twists and turns. I loved all the main characters and loved how the nightbirds experiecnes fleshed out the world. Romance and poltical drama was at the heart of this read. This book took you on a wild ride in 400 pages and i am thrilled for book 2. I think my arc had some clunky sections and will be re-readoing when i can get a finished copy. It was really engaging read and i really loved this book!!

I really loved this book. I sometimes struggle with hate to mroe romacnes and don't aways read stalones novels. This book was a really fast pace read that did both these elements in such a fun manner and quick. I also felt connected to both characters even though we only got Iris chracter POV. i LOVED the focus on animal magic and also how this contempory novel invovled elements of a classic quest!! It had many elements and plots that tugged at my heart and it was really engaging read. I think this is def a new favorie and think her writing just better, and think the world of this book was so unique!! Def worth the read!!

I have to admit slasher books are not always my favorite. I sometimes struggle to feel connected to the main characters and then the story just does not capture. Some of this books struggled with this at the the start. Since this book was so short, it had a bit of the not connecting to the characters. But the last 50 pages left me shocked and stunend. I loved the really shocking twsits and turns and wonder if we might be getting more books. It was really shocking read, but want to get clousure in future books. But it def packed a punch, i loved the time taveling elements and also the focus on the sister dyanimcs. I will hope for a sequel!!!

I think this was fun and quick read. I also think it was unque set up to historical and that does nt happen super often. I loved the fact the main character was ghotic author and also the single father element to the story. I thought this book had both steama and plot and it was really quick listen. I also loved that at the heart of this read was her sister and friendship dynaimcs. I also really enjoyed the romacne in this read and just loved how she told me the story, will def check out book 2!!

I am not a big horror person but this was a super cute and fun read It def gave me prefect fall vibes and it remnded me a lot of are your afraid of the dark from when i was youngr.I also liked the small town vibes and that remidned me of halloween town or gilmore girls vibes. I really liked how this story also tackled common middle school issues like friendship drama!! I will def check out more books in this series and pass it on to my students

I think this book if the marketing and pitching was right I would have went in with clear expections. I think it is a very good spooky small town read with second chance romance. The witchy elemetns was super small and not a big part of the story. This story gave me massive veronica mars vibes. I thought the story was fun but not nothing unique. It did not wow me, but it was okay!!

I thought this was a fun read!! If you are a major stranger things fan this book has many elements that I think you woud love. It give you more 90 vibes then 80 vibes. I also really liked the focused on friendship!! I also enjoyef the duel time line of the story as well. I loved the diversity of the main characters!! I also thought it was quick read that was fun take on 80's technology!! I was left on a small cliffhanger and curious if we will get more in this world!!

I don't think I loved this book as much as I wanted too!! I loved the premise and it was super quick read. I think the main problem was we were only in one character head and there was four main characters and the storyline felt like it had a narrow focus!! I thought it gave me old guard vibes!! I also thought the mystey was fun but it did not wow me! I like listening too it. I also like a more modern mystery by this author!! It was a fun listen but not a new favorite!!

I thought this was a super cute graphic novel. I also like the various elements that was included in this story. It was a super quick read and I loved the slow burn friends to more romance that developed. I also really enjoyed the other elements in the story like the complicated family dynamics and also business isssues and life issues like college. I really loved the art style and love how this story was canada and england! I really liked this one and loved the repcipes included. I also loved the diverse realtionship!! Very cute!

This was such a cute graphic novel and i loved that it both had halloween elements and also the elements of finding yourself and choosing where you belong and making choices about your future it also had an adorble art style that just made me smile!! This was a pefect early fall read between the halloween style charactrers and also the back to school elements!
