I really wound up loving this read. I thought this book had much more solid and clear world building then her first book. I felt so much more connected to this world and found it to be even more compelling to read. I thought this book was solid mystery that captured me. I also really liked both POV characters that we go to know. I also really liked this book focused so much on sisters and that relationship. This book also tackled the many aspects of grief and really liked that. I also liked the setting of this book as well. I def liked this more than her debut.

I found this book to such a fun and diverse read. I really loved the mythology and story this book tackled. I think it had some of my fav middle grade elements, like exploring myths, friendship and story connections to modern day. I really liked how this book looked at how mexican children have realtionships with the police. I think the pacing at points was not the strongest and sometimes the pacing laged a bit and did not keep me as eagaged toward the second half of the book. But overall I really grew to the like the characters and the world overall. Will def read book 2 for sure.

I thought this was a great sequel to touch of gold. I also found this read to be so fun because it really dived more into the mythology elements much more in this book. I also liked how we got to see more mythical creatures and it was def more of adventure story. This novel had a really nice balance between romance and adventure. I struggled sometimes with the pacing in the middle but overall, it was a fun read and def would read more by this author in the future.

This book really kicked me in the emotions. I really liked how this book tackled both the foster care but also the aftereffects of abuse. This book has many triggers warnings including abuse, sexual and emotions, PTSD, depression/ anxiety and sucied. I really was emotionally connected to these characters and this book made me tear up many times. It was book that was able to strike a balance between self discovery, friendship and romance. This book was super emotional read but one I loved. i can't wait to read the others book in this series.

I really loved the setting of this book. I found it to be such a informative read. I really loved how this book was focus on girl involved in sports. I really thought that this book had so many issues that tied together so well. I also liked this book did have romance plot but it was not the major plot point. I thought that the "game" element was much more focused at the start and the end, but not as much in the middle. I also liked how this book tackled domestic violence and abuse throughout the read and also tackled more harder and global issues as well like dangerous environments. It was a read that def captured me. I hope to read more by this author in the future.

Such a strong and well done conclusion to the series. I loved seeing how all of these characters interconnected at the end and learning more about winter. I love both the unique tale but how some include the hallmarks of all the fairy tales VERY STRONG1
