This book hands down has such strong world building that captured me from page 1. I thought the world so compelling and as theater major and lovers of musicals this world screamed Moulin Rouge and Phantom of the Opera. I loved the setting of this book and also the focused on a magic competition. I also liked the various POV that this book was broken down into and how these POV were so different but def. helped expand that world in various ways. I really loved the magic system and world building was the stand out. I think the pacing of this book could have been a bit tighter at points and I felt like the ending was rushed and the middle was not as tight. But I have become super invested in the characters and the world and am so excited for book 2!. If you like books like the night circus or Evermore.. This book might be right up your alley!

I really adored this book. I would have given this book 4.5 for review. I was super invested in the world buildings and the characters were as a strong grab for me. I think the highlight part of this book was also the world building. I found this world and magic system to be so compelling and it was super hard to put this book down. I also thought the book pacing was super strong in the start of the novel. The end of the novel had some pacing issues and wish the structure had been altered a tad. I did enjoy the ending even thought it was predicable but I will def be checking out book 2 for sure. Def a new author to keep an eye on!

I wound up really enjoying this book. This book def was not what I was expecting but really loved diving back into this world. I also loved seeing these characters grow and change. I thought this book was so engaging and still tackled topics that I was not expecting like the used of social media and how it can impact a young adults life. I liked the new characters that we met an also the old characters. I liked how we got a new boy and liked just seeing how Lara Jean grow and changed in this novel. I am excited to read the final book soon!

I found this book to such a fun a adventure read. I think the summary really described this book perfecting it is basically annie meets Batman. I really was invested in the mystery that took place nd loved the setting and the world in this novel. I also really enjoyed the main character. I thought this book was also super fast pace and very engaging. I wish the side characters were developed throughout the whole book and not just towards the end. I did not feel the characters as a group until the very end and I misses that. Some of the smaller world builiding elements like smaller friendship moments and did not occur and I missed that in the start o the book. I really did enjoy this read and will def keep reading this series in the future.

I really did love the concept of this book. I thought the mysterious inn that connected three different world was unique and I really did like the main character as well. I also like the way this story was structured. I struggled to feel super connected to the character and also felt like the pacing of this book was not as strong. I thought the book was very short and not enough "action" happened tp keep me engaged. I found the end top be unique and will def being reading book too. The highlight of this read for me was def the inn and the world building.

Overall I loved the concept of this novel so much. As book lover and someone involved in the world of books, reviews and supporting books that part of the book I adored. I thought that part was so true to my own life and really loved that part of the book. I also really loved the used of emailing and social media as a source of friendship and communication. I also really liked how Marisa explored how her main character tackled anxiety. I thought this book was super fast pace read. It is def a book I would re-read again in the future. I loved how this book also talked about the book industry in a honest way. I thought some elements of the books were not wrapped up nicely as I would like and also thought this book had some predicable moments but overall I loved this read. If you are booklover, this might be the perfect read for you and the romance was so cute overall but online and off!!

I was a massive fan of teen wolf back in the day and this book screamed that to me and I really loved the characters in this read. This book combined two of my favorites troups including found family and a quest and also good vs evil. I also really liked the plot of the story and the setting of modern day Japan was a great world. I really enjoyed this book and would love to see more books by this author duo in the future.

I really loved the art style in this read. I loved how this novel took the gothem city myth in such a fun way. I also really liked how this book focused on both girls story and loved how the book was structured really comparing and contrasting the girls lives. I always like books/stories where characters have to talk a walk in each others shoes. I also really enjoyed the side characters in this story and really liked how this book focused on friendship and young heroes and the drama they face. I also really hope we get more books in this series in the future.

I really enjoyed diving back into this world. I thought this book was super compelling as well. I felt like this book had a to manage or navigate so many characters. I did at points wish some of the other characters had gotten a bit more focus. I am loving the balance between children characters and also the adults characters, I loved how shannon has crafted these relationships. It was super engaging plot that really focused on expanding the world. This book had some many OMG moments that were super compelling and i am dying to keep reading this series soon!

This book was amazing. on so many levels. I loved how this story not only tie together all the main characters in the previous two books (hanna, nick, KADY and ezra) but also introduced use to whole new set of characters. The formate of the this book was amazing and the audiobook was so well done. I really loved the ending of this story so much. I really loved how we got some many new character interactions and all the characters connections and relationship was the highlight of this book. I really can't pick a fav character but they were all so well crafted. This is def one of my favorite books of the year so far and one of my favorite science fiction series!
