I overall really enjoyed these characters and this world building. I also really enjoyed how this book addressed very current event elements and had such a interesting and compelling story as a read. I adored both the main character in the read and loved the message about making your own family so much. It was fun engaging pace read. I thought the end had some pacing issues but I really did grow to love the characters and this world. I think the highlight of this book was the world building and the group of the characters that came together for this adventure. Some plot elements had predictable elements but overall I enjoyed this read and will def read a book 2!

I loved the start of this read. I also really liked the lead characters and the world building and the setting of this story. I loved the hesit themed elements in this mystery and thriller story. I did not feel super engaged in thew writing and it sometimes took me out of the story at points. I liked that we had a such a wide cast of characters but they all did not feel well developed. I thought that this book even thought it will be series was a solid conclusion for the first book in the series. It was very unique premise and I would def read more by this author in the future!

I simply adored this book. I flew through this read. I thought this was firstly a solid standalone but am dying for more books following these characters. I simply loved Theodora characters so much and found her to be unique heroine and loved it. I also loved how this was structure with the narrative and also the letters. I loved both the setting of this book and found it to such a refreshing read. I loved the mystery elements and how this book played with fantasy elements. I loved how even thought this book focused on two characters we did meet so many others characters that easily expanded the world. I thought the romance in this book was so awesome and loved the hate to love mix with a blast from the past romance. I loved the plot of this book and found it to both unique and different if you enjoy books like hunting prince dracula. I also found the writing and pacing to be easy to read and hard to put down. Such a solid read.

I really loved the way this story was crafted and told. It was told through email and hacked documents and etc. It was a story that I expected to impersonal but grew to really love and NEED to know what happen to the characters. It was such a fast pace read and at the heart of this story was the characters of ezra and Kady. It really asks alot of questions like what makes you human and what can and what won't break you. The ending of this book was insane and I need the next one.

Note this book you need to read the actual physical book, don't read on your kindle/ nook or listen to via audio book . TRUST ME.

2020 Note: On re-read. I have loved the audiobook!

I overall thought the world building was super fun. I really liked the general plot of the book and found it to be super interesting. I did not feel as connected to the characters as I wanted and it was hard to become invested. I thought the book had some pacing issues but it was enjoyable read. I loved the elements that were introduced at the end and found that to be super compelling. I liked the various POV that we got but wish they were made more clearer in the format. I will def be reading book 2!

I found this book to be such a refreshing take on the cam lot myths. I really found the pacing and storytelling elements to be super strong. I really was so engaged in the story. I also loved the main characters and the side characters that populated this world. I really also like how kiersten took the myths and turned it on its head. This book was such a unexpected suprise. I really also loved the other POV that was included throughout this read. I also enjoyed the ending and really was impressed with it. I feel like that this book just scratched the surface and and super excited to see where this series goes in the future.

I picked up this book on wim and listen to the audibook and flew through it. I really loved both characters that were POV characters in this book. I also really liked the quest element that was featured in this novel. The banter and dynamics between the characters was such a highlight and I really enjoy. I loved not only the characters but also the world building that was introduced. I found this book to be such a a fun listen and would def check out more books by this author in the future.

I did enjoy this read. I think even thought i read this book out of order, I still was able to follow the story. This story does have some religious overtones at points but it did not bother me. I liked that this mystery did not focus totally on murder but on other elements and this book had a unique plot that I enjoyed. I think the pacing and the development of the mystery was okay but I felt like this story did not have as any crumbs to follow. I would consider reading more in the future maybe.

I thought this was a solid middle grade series. I did not love the pacing of this read but I grew to love the characters over the course of the book. I liked the magic elements of this book and also how this book dealt with many different types of family drama. It was slower book but one that still captured my attention, I did enjoy the main character and really am excited to see how he grows in future books in this series.

I think overall I enjoyed this book. I loved how this book dived in the characters that I meet in book one. I really did love that. I loved diving more into these characters. I thought the pacing in the book was not as strong however. I sometimes got confused and that may have been because I did not re-read the pervious book. I overall was still impressed this series and these characters. This is def a book I want to re-read after I read book 1 again. I thought some of the twists this book had was super well crafted and hard to predict. I overall enjoyed this book and these characters have for sure captured my heart.
