When I received this book for review, I was given fair warning that it’s not based on fiction, and may not be quite what I was expecting. I have a deep and hidden love for crime stories though, so I was willing to give it a shot, and I’m glad I did. While Curbchek doesn’t flow in the manner of a fictional story, the stories related in the book are interesting, funny, astounding, and wrenching at different times, and I am very glad I had the opportunity to review this book.

Zach’s story is not only interesting and absorbing, it’s also an unexpected snapshot into the way law enforcement works, and with the variety of experiences presented, I couldn’t help but finish this one in one sitting. Fans of crime dramas and crime stories should definitely give this one a shot.
