I loved Beauty and the Beast as a kid. Loved it. I honestly don't remember the whole story from the Disney movie, just that Belle was just a normal girl, who ended up in love with this really great guy. It's nice to see normal girls win. Beastly is a modern day version of Beauty and the Beast, and it was great! Kyle is a spoiled, nasty, gorgeous high school kid who picks on the wrong misfit and gets turned into a beast. Even his dad can't tolerate his transformation and moves him to a separate house, hires him a tutor and a housekeeper, and never visits. He learns about true beauty from his tutor, and eventually meets Lindy... And well, the rest is history!

I have to admit, it's not as fun reading a book that you already know the ending, since it's a modern adaptation of an old story, but it was so fun to see how the author accomplished it! If you're into fairy tales, or have a special place in your heart for Beauty and the Beast, this book is a must have!

Really cute story and a unique premise. Seven threads were stolen from the fabric of life 500 years ago, and one is released by a modern girl. A little romance, and some unique magic made this a very interesting read!

Really good for a collection of short stories. I liked the first one best!
