Three stars because romance isn't really my thing and the main character didn't really make a whole lot of sense to me sometimes. She was overwhelming and jumped to conclusions too much (a trait that I share and that I'm working on, which is why I don't like it) and I got confused about how her emotions could jump so quickly from one thing to another.
I liked the representation and the shrink. Some sentences really hit home, especially as someone who's been on Twitter and has read the stuff aphobes tweet.

The flawed internal logic and the story that never went deeper than surface level bothered me. I expected more.

Seanan McGuire has such a fantastic writing style. This dark fairy tale is completely different from Every Heart a Doorway, but is equally as enchanting.

Now this was great! Super heroes meets serial killers.

Okay, plot twist! I did not see that coming! Well, part of it I did see coming, having read the other books, but part of it was a complete surprise.

I love the Moors. And now I really want to see Mariposa.
