Great continuation in which our band of characters experience a world where your deepest fear becomes flesh…and tries to eat you…

8.5 blood splattered road signs out of 10

The action is building to a good conclusion! I’ll never look at Graceland the same way again…

8 swatches of Jungle Room rug out of 10.

The ending of the series is a bit rushed. Didn’t finish as strongly as I had hoped it would.

6.5 St.Louis spiders out of 10

A super natural take on a very real and tragic chapter of American history. A great trip of strong, fearless female protagonists and an interesting take on hatred and whatnot does to the human soul.

Definitely worth a read!

8.5 shattered copies of Birth of a Nation out of 10.

A classic well and truly deserving of the name.

9 bee swaddled pear trees out of 10

Might possibly be my favorite is King’s short story collections.

So many great ones. Dolan’s Cadillac, Home Delivery, Sneakers, Chattery Teeth, and especially The End of the Whole Mess. Great collection.

9.5 slime encrusted knuckles out of 10

Just finished this fantastic #horrornovel from Craig Dilouie.

One day, no different from the thousands of days that make up our lives, all the children who have not yet gone through puberty drop dead. It begins as a wave from the west that sweeps across the globe, driving fear and sorrow ahead of it in a relentless tide. All the children of the world succumb, none are spared.

Days pass as the world tries to grapple with this new awful reality.

Then, one night, the children reawaken. But they reawaken with an insatiable thirst. Only human blood returns the children to the way they were before the event. And as the world’s supply of readily available blood dwindles, parents are forced to make incredibly difficult choices for their children. And the children themselves are changing, in absolutely terrible ways.

This is the best horror novel I have read this year and it’s one of my all time favorites. Truly horrifying and almost impossible to put down. Highly recommended!

10 bags of claret out of 10

An excellent work of art. A sad, yet true story told with great art and words that lunch like the man himself.

Read this book for first time at 19/20. Just finished a reread at 51. Man…so much about this book went right over my head 30 years ago.

This book is a monument to King’s mastery of characterization.
