One of my least favorites of King. Not because it is a bad book, I just find it so damned sad. Not much else to say about it…

6 rabies infected bats out of 6

Nice finish to the second cycle. One more to go. Donny got a little kill happy at the end, but I guess I can empathize. Solo and Shadow was a sweet pairing…sad ending…

8.5 paper parachutes out of 10

Lotta great stories in this one. The Mist, of course, but also great are The Monkey, Mrs. Todd’s Shortcut, The Jaunt, The Raft, The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands, Gramma, and The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet. Great collection!

10 happy Fornits spreading Fornus out of 10

American Gods is my favorite novel of all time, and this annotated version is simply amazing. It makes the story so much deeper. The mythology and the origins and cultures explained so completely…an amazing piece of art and history.

10 spinning gold coins out of 10

A work of art without peer. Gaiman’s Sandman run is my favorite of all time. The characters, the story, the drawing, the color…no one has done it better.

10 bags of sand lot of 10

I was going to go with three stars with this second installment at first. As I read, his interactions with Rocky struck me as childish. As I read further, I realized why. Looking forward to the next one.

8.5 splinters of wood out of 10

Interesting start to the series. Interesting concept, great descriptions of complete and utter solitude.

Another excellent, heartfelt work of art from Woodson. Highly recommend!

9 flawless jump shots out of 10

A fun ride…pun intentional. Not one of my favorites of early King, but definitely worth the read.

7 damned shitters out of 10

The introduction of Claire to the mix was a bit predictable, but welcome all the same. On to the last installment…
