Second book published by SK. On my Stephen King reread. Read it first in the late 80s.
I had quite forgotten how good a book ‘Salem’s Lot is. Always put it in the middle of the pack when rating King’s books. It has now moved solidly up into my top five..
Very high on the spooky meter.

I’ll see you when I get to the journey to the Tower, Father Callahan…

So many thoughts here I myself have lived in for the last 20 years or so.

A great continuation of the New Kid story line. Loved how Jordan’s own little comic pages kept popping up throughout the story. Every middle elementary to high school should have a copy in its library.

First read this book in the late 80s. Just finished a reread.
Such a great novel. Jack Torrance's descent into madness, and his futile attempts to prevent it, was something I had totally forgotten in the 30 years since I first read it.
9.5 Roque mallets out of 10.

This is a MUST READ for every teacher, every administrator, every person in district leadership, every person in state and national leadership, and every person in a teacher education program.
Stephen King is the master of the short story and this first collected batch of them makes that abundantly clear right from the get go.
So many classics here like Children of The Corn, Sometimes They Come Back, Battleground, The Boogeyman, One for the Road, I Know What You Need, The Last Rung on the Ladder, and several others.

Jerry Craft's graphic novels are exceptional. They are funny, they are touching, they are timely, they pull no punches, and they are VITAL.

An interesting, fun story is a world that doesn’t really sound all that dissimilar to ours.
